Founder Taira Markham understands pain, loss and abandonment but more than that, she understands the victory that comes when we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ. The Lord met Taira in her darkest moment of surrender after an open vision of seeing the return of Christ. It brought her to her knees and from that place He began to pursue and draw her more. He delivered, healed and set her free. Like the woman at the well, Taira immediately began sharing the gospel and what the Lord had done for her. With seeing over 17,000 souls confess Jesus Christ as Lord, this became a story of hopelessness became a powerful testimony to the mercy and goodness of God.

The journey the Lord sent Taira on, has not only changed her life it has also made her a well-rounded minister and evangelist. Much of her early years of ministry would be spent in preparation and remaining faithful while serving where God told her to and raising her daughter, which is the greatest ministry that shaped and formed her in various ways nothing else could, as she was a young lady who wasn’t raised by her parents and was learning to parent. She counsels women now who are ministry moms, and has soft spot for children in ministry and children who are orphans. 
From 2007 to 2022 Taira, who began as a door greeter at Jesus is the Answer Church, went on to serve in most roles within the church.  It was in her serving to clean she learned to begin to live selfless. Cleaning toilets and making sure the house of worship was in excellence, the Lord developed a passion in her heart to serve others. Later Jesus promoted her as an armor bearer for Pastor Robert Scales, and his family. In those years she learned not only bear the arms of someone else through prayer, serving, and guarding as a watchman but learned what family looked like in many ways she never knew or experienced. The roles of an advisor, director of evangelism, coordinator of intercessory prayer, Janitorial director, and property manager taught her a lot about the local church, the sheep, and leadership.

After 2020, while still serving, Taira began to see the Lord starting to birth into reality the promises He had spoken over her life. Promises that were able to come to pass because of the seasons of preparation she’d spent in previous years.

 

Then in 2022 the Lord called Taira back into fulltime ministry. He called her to start Taira Markham Ministries which is a line of ministry she created from Harvest Hub that is birthing even more ministries from within. Her heart is for family within this ministry. To Sit at the Kings Table and grow to love one another. In this new phase of ministry Taira’s burning desire is to fan into flames in her fellow Christian brothers and sisters the hunger to pursue Jesus first and the cause to win lost souls. The mission of the ministry is to host the Lord's presence; awake, equip and activate the bride; and win the lost. To bring God’s hope to the hopeless and His light to the darkest places. To see every person come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. And for believers to be discipled and walk in the call the Lord has for their lives including preaching, praying and prophesying which every believer is called to do.

Today, with over 20 years ministerial experience including 20 years in street ministry, 15 years in prison ministry, 8 years in mentoring and discipling and 4 years of ministering in churches, Taira continues to pursue God, preach the gospel and go after the lost. Taira’s heart and passion for God and people has sent her to unimaginable places to preach the gospel. And though her obedience at times may look crazy to the world she knows it will bear fruit because it’s not about her name being lifted higher but the name of Jesus. The love, joy, hope and peace Taira experiences in her walk with God is something the world did not give her which means the world cannot take it away. And she wants every person to know they can have their own redemption story and walk in freedom, knowing that whom Jesus sets free will really be free.
